In the article the ecology in the system of natural-science knowledge is researched. In these purposes the beginning of a subject of ecology are studied. Its historical periods and their limitation find out; the methodological analysis of modern ecology is carried out, integrative processes and regularities of the organization, functioning and development of ecological and natural-science knowledge are described. And on this basis the special place of ecology in natural sciences system is defined.

В статье исследуется экология в системе естественнонаучного знания. В этих целях изучаются истоки и начала возникновения предмета экологии, выясняются его исторические этапы и их ограниченность; проводится методологический анализ современной экологии, осмысливаются интегративные процессы и закономерности организации, функционирования и развития экологического и естественнонаучного знания и на этой основе определяется особое место экологии в системе естествознания.
