The paper is concerned with the Kurd ethnic group which resides in the Republic of Adygea since late 1980-s. The authors consider specifics of formation and development of Kurds’ institution of family and its place in their value system. Based on the obtained and generalized empirical material the authors identify the features of modern marriage and family relations, which reinforce the closedness and conservatism of the Kurd community. The conclusion is drawn that the processes of Kurds’ adaptation and integration into the socio-cultural space of the Republic of Adygea has been proceeding slowly, in this regard the exclusive role of the family is growing, and thus, the conditions to deepen the ethnic tension have been created.

В статье представлено исследование курдской этногруппы, постоянно проживающей в Республике Адыгея с конца 1980-х гг. Показана специфика формирования и развития института семьи у курдов и его место в ценностной системе. На основе полученного и обобщенного эмпирического материала определены особенности современных брачно-семейных отношений, усиливающих закрытость и консервативность курдского сообщества. Сделан вывод о том, что процессы адаптации и интеграции курдского народа в социокультурное пространство республики протекают медленно, исключительная роль семьи в этих условиях повышается, создаются условия для углубления межэтнической напряженности.
