Abstract

At present the banking system of Russia is in the state of unsustainable stability. Despite succeeding in overcoming the crisis and its consequences, the banking sector is still exposed to a volatility of external economic situation. With a view to provide the sectors stability and to prevent a negative impact of European financial markets and economic trends Russian authorities are to promptly solve a number of critical tasks, above all improvement of the banking legislation, sector's consolidation and development of a friendly financial climate.
