Abstract

В статье исследуется место и значение цикла «Португальские сонеты» в контексте всего литературного творчества Элизабет Барретт Браунинг. Автор статьи выделяет и анализирует основные мотивы поэзии Элизабет Барретт Браунинг и приходит к выводу, что цикл любовной лирики «Португальские сонеты» явился единственным произведением автора, объединившим основные тенденции творчества поэтессы.

The article studies the meaning of "Sonnets from the Portuguese” in the context of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's literary art. The author of this article marks and analyses the main motives of Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poetry and concludes that the lyrical cycle "Sonnets from the Portuguese” is the only work uniting basic tendencies of her literary art.
