Abstract

The aim of the research. To study the influence of manual therapy on neurological and hemodynamic manifestations in patients with chronic cerebral ischemia. Materials and methods. There were 100 patients with chronic cerebral ischemia. Patients were divided into two groups depending on the treatment, which efficacy was assessed after a certain time periods: on the 20th day, after 3 and 6 months after treatment. Results. Vertebrogenic influence on the vegetative innervation of the brachiocephalic vessels had primarily angiodystonic character, and, as a consequence, led to hemodynamic and neurologic manifestations. It was found that the use of soft-tissue techniques course of manual therapy with standard neurometabolic therapy gives the most effective outcome. Conclusion. The use of soft-tissue techniques of manual therapy leads to better blood flow of the brain and reduces the neurological manifestations.
