Abstract

Th e paper presents the experimental data on the research of antimicrobial activity of the preparation Levan-2 based on basidium xylotrophe fungi T. pubescens against isolates of enterohemorrhagic E. coli of the serotype О157: Н7, its medical and preventive effi ciency within the framework of pre-clinical preparation research. It was shown, that the use of the preparation Levan-2 for the treatment of colibacillosis of calves allows to increase 1.5 times the effi ciency of treatment, shorten the period of treatment by 28,6%, cut down costs by 6 times. During preventive measures against gastrointestinal disturbance with the use of Levan-2 phagocytic activity was noticed to have increased by 11,0%, phagocytic index by 55,9%, phagocytal number by 47,4%, bactericidal activity of blood serum decreased by 60,1%, a rise in the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin content and protein in blood was also observed. Live weight gain was observed to be 20,5% higher than in control group of animals.
