Abstract

Review of comparative data of experimental investigations and functional results of laser in situ keratomileusis surgeries with femtosecond laser and mechanic keratome is given. Light and electron microscopy to study peculiarities of cornea healing in rabbit after LASIK and IntraLASIK data are represented. Femtosecond laser advantages are shown, as it maintains biomechanic properties of cornea during valve resection and it provides quality of vision and opens new possibilities in refractive surgery.
