Abstract

The main point of the article is analyzing the interaction between music and choreography in Jiri Kylian’s “Clouds” ballet dance with C. Debussy’s music, the ballet being viewed as synthetic art text. This lets us view the synthetic genre of ballet as the result of choreographic interpretation of music scores. Debussy’s music also has plenty of prerequisites for plastic interpretation by the means of choreographic art, the main one of which is the synestheticis of composer’s creative musical mind. The plastic interpretation by the means of choreographic art is for the first time shown stimulate the deeper understanding of Debussy’s synesthetic images and the deeper layers of musical text meaning structure, as well as demolishing the filters created by sample mindset.
