Abstract

The article looks at the role metaphoric concepts play in the organization of a mass media article. Russian, English and French texts are analyzed to show the ways metaphoric concepts may structure an article. It is stressed that the way an article is organized depends on the tradition of newspaper writing of a particular country and on the genre of the article.
