Abstract

Everywhere: in book, in newspaper article, in conversation people come across folk proverbs and sayings, as well as with separate word and expressions from fables, fairy tales, novels, poems. They carry the same service that proverbs and sayings, but differ from them, that they have determined by the author. Their source may be: literary work, historical events, quotations of the history personalities, written monuments and etc. These figurative, well-aimed expressions are called "winged words", "aphorism". The author of the article on the grounds of number of examples from great Russian and foreign writers shows that winged words widely used in colloquial and literary speech, and became its integral part.
