Abstract

To discover the rate of the trophic derangements of different location were examined patients admitted to the general surgery clinic with chronic venous disease of the legs during one year period. 547 limbs with varicose disease and 157 limbs with postthrombotic syndrome (PTS) were inspected. During physical examination all the cases of the different degree trophic derangements were considered to their location. Trophic changes on anterolateral surface of the shin were observed in 42,5% cases of the all derangements in patients with PTS, trohic ulcers of the same location were seen in 24,1% cases of the ulcers. In case of varicose disease trophic derangements on anterolateral surface were seen in 39,1% of all the changes, whereas ulcers in this region account 27,3% of all. In 6,25% of cases in PTS and 15,6% in varicose disease isolated trophic derangements were observed on the anterolateral surface, which may be indicative for possible specific hemodynamic disturbances.
