The Russian Orthodox Church (abroad) role in founding and maintenance of Russian diaspora cultural unity in Australia

Abstract

The article describes the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in Australia, which has occupied the central place in the life and identity of the Russian community in this country. The authors analyze the main spheres of the Church activity, that are the pastoral services, educational efforts, preservation of the Russian culture, charity and missionary work.
