Abstract

The author reviews the book by John Fonte which is devoted to the conflict between the supporters of Philadelphian sovereignty, which is the model of the USA, and the champions of global governance (European Union acts as a model of it). This conflict is a serious threat to liberal democracy and Western civilization as a whole, since it is essential for US-European relations. Fonte John. Sovereignty or Submission: Will Americans Rule Themselves or Be Ruled by Others? New-York: Encounter Books, 2011, 449 p.
