Abstract

The article analyses the process of cultural interchange, which was actively carried out by mass media during the Khrushchev's thaw. The features of cultural interchange were revealed on the example of printing editions, radio and TV of the autonomous republics of the Volga Region. It is shown that this process was stimulated by the thaw atmosphere in the society and developed at the republics' initiative, but was rigidly supervised by local Party bodies.
