Abstract

The article considers tourism as a priority way to increase the competitiveness of Russian regions. One of the possible ways to effectively develop the field of tourism is the creation of interregional associations. In this case, the main function of the district body will be coordination of regional bodies` activity, which will increase the quality level of touristic management, determining possible ways of developing specific tasks, such as experience exchange among regions, attracting investors, promotion of the regional positive image, and the development of interregional projects. Creation of the united coordination center will allow more fully using any regional brand and will increase the number of interregional routs within a district as well as will raise the touristic potential of regions.
