Influence of gases (Ar, He, N2, SO2, O2) and sodium nitrite on the intensity of the solid-state and nitrogenous components of terbium sulfate triboluminescence was studied. A saturation by SO2 and addition of sodium nitrite crystals lead to suppression of the both components. Oxygen suppresses the nitrogen linesonly. An inflow of argon and helium leads to intensity increasing (up to 30-40 time) of both nitrogen and the solid-state components of triboluminescence.
