Abstract

The paper presents results of comprehensive analysis of technical-economical and technical-operational stats of electrical power installment's variants (traditional one based on main diesel engine and integrated electrical power system) with electrical propulsion plant. Main advantages and disadvantages of both variants are listed in relation to auxiliary fleet on the example of buoy tender. Indexes of efficiency, cost, mass and overall dimensions are specified. Conclude regarding expediency of using of electrical propulsion plants on ships for auxiliary fleet is made.
