Clinical and electroneurophysiologic study of the functional state of cortical and truncal parts of brain in 107 patients with myofascial pain syndrome was performed. Data of neuroorthopedic examination and analysis of integral parameters of spontaneous electroencephalogram and wink reflex made it possible to reveal in patients with myofascial pain syndrome the increase of excitability of propriobulbar neurons taking part in reflex activity of brain trunk and desynchronization of cortical rhythm. It suggests the disorder of corticotruncal relations in conditions of nociceptive afferentation out of myofascial trigger point.
