Abstract

A new way of end-to-side invaginated small-and large intestinal anastomosis was introduced. Current and long term results of the use of the above method were studied in clinical conditions (27 cases). In comparison with other variants of end-to-side smalland large intestinal anastomoses, the above cases were compared with longitudinal anastomoses (46 cases), transverse anastamoses (54 cases) and anastamoses according to Ya. D. Vitebsky (41 cases). The above new method is characterized by reliably fewer postoperative complications (14.8% as compared with the total number of 25.6%), lower postoperative death rates (7.4% as compared with the 16.7% total deaths) and higher life qualities in the long-term period. But it does not influence the life expectance in patients with oncological diseases.
