Abstract

In this article the author examines a philosophical term’s specifics, principally shaped and developed by peculiarities of philosophical language. The naturalness of the linguistic semantics can sometimes deprive philosophical terms of their exactness and accuracy. There is often a lack of strict gender and aspectual terminological definitions in philosophical texts, with the dominance of contextual definitions, gradually widening and varying the semantic field of a term. In addition, philosophical terms are often terms with a “soft” conceptual semantics, which often results in a polymorphism of their definitions.
