Abstract

For environmental contamination monitoring, natural tablets aerosol storages, including snow are widely used. The research studies the chemical composition of the snow cover of the winter period of 2010-2011 in St. Petersburg. During the monitoring research, the positive tendency connected with reduction of concentration of lead in the snow cover of the city was revealed, that gives evidence of a decrease in anthropogenic load from motor transport and of the improvement of the condition of atmospheric air of Saint Petersburg. However, on the territory of all the observed areas, the process of pollution at different stages was found out
