Abstract

The analysis of short-term results of radical surgeries with D2 lymphodissection in the combined modality treatment of gastric cancer has been carried out. It has been found that such surgeries in combination with preoperative radiation followed no by increase in the rate of complications and lethality. Thus, the combined modality treatment including preoperative radiation therapy and surgery with D2 lymphodissection is a safe method of anti-tumor treatment for gastric cancer patients.
