Abstract

Resume: It has been performed the analysis of qualitative and quantitative content of elements in oral liquid by mass-spectrometry method with inductively coupled plasma on 48 adult patients. It has been established that elementary composition of oral liquid has the following metalls: vanadium, iron, molybdenum, sodium, nickel, selenium, strontium, antimony, chromium, zinc, calcium, magnesium, potassium are present in the oral liquid in 100% cases. Arsenic, barium, cadmium, copper, manganese, nickel, lead, silver are found in from 39.6% to 87.5% cases. Cobalt is not found in any of the submitted biological samples. It has been demonstrated that analysis of ultimate composition, reflecting hemostatic parameters of the organism, can be used in dentistry as a noninvasive diagnostic methods. It has been proposed reference values for the chemical elements in oral fluid.
