Abstract

The article deals with linguistic cognitive approach to grotesque problem according to which the grotesque is shown at the level of phenomenological cognitive structures constructing individual cognitive space of the author. At that the basic implementers of grotesque are oxymoron, antithesis and catachresis forming text linguistic cognitive structures selected in the denotative space.
