Abstract

The paper explores the artistic and stylistic specificity of poetry of Khussen Khamkhokov, one of the brightest representatives of poets Effendi. Folklorisms and the objective world of his poetry point to interlacing folk and literary traditions. The conclusion is drawn that Khussen Khamkhokov’s poetry should be considered in the context of oral literature, a special type of artistic creation, formed in nations with new literature in Russia in the late 19th early 20th century.
