Abstract

The article discusses the problems of traffic demand assessment on the basis of area quantitative characteristics / centers of mass attraction (CMA). The study has been given to the most significant characteristic that is specific trip distribution generation, its variation ranges and the factors affecting it. The latter include remoteness from the city center and/or main street, type of the area / CMA. Analysis is given to the variation of trip distribution generation by the days of the week and seasons. Recommendations on the practical application of the value of specific trip distribution generation depending on the area type are given.
