Abstract

Based on authors’ data, obtained by in vivo 1H MRS examinations of the patients in the norm and under central nervous system pathology, various applications of this method in clinical neurology are analyzed. The new quantitative approach to the analysis of the in vivo 1Н МRS data is offered. The quantitative criteria for the evaluation of the pathological changes in cerebral metabolism caused by congenital cerebral metabolic diseases, demyelinating disorders, intraand extra cerebral neoplasms, and various neurodegenerative disorders are formulated.
