
The article is devoted the analysis of the lexical units forming the linguocultural field "SEA" in the modern English language. The work is conducted within the limits of the theory of linguoculturology, the perspective science investigating the interaction of language and culture. The author of the article pays attention to the questions connected with representation of extralinguistic information in text and the role of newspaper text as a transmitter of the national language picture of the world.
Статья посвящена анализу лексических единиц, составляющих лингвокультурологическое поле «МОРЕ» в современном английском языке. Работа ведется в рамках теории лингвокультурологии, перспективной науки, исследующей взаимодействие языка и культуры. Автор статьи уделяет внимание вопросам, связанным с репрезентацией экстралингвистической информации в тексте, и роли газетного текста как транслятора национальной языковой картины мира.
