The article discusses the history of the training of engineers for power industry in the Far East of Russian in 1918-1948. The author describes a difficult period of making that higher electrical engineering education of the region have passed from the opening of the electrical engineering program in Vladivostok Polytechnic till the first graduation of specialists trained for the industry in the Far Eastern Polytechnic Institute. It is concluded that the graduates played a significant role in the development of the electricity sector of the Russian Far East in 1920s-1940s.

В статье рассматривается история подготовки инженерных кадров для электроэнергетики на Дальнем Востоке России в 1918-1948 гг. Показано, что высшее электротехническое образование в регионе прошло сложный период становления с момента открытия электротехнической специальности во Владивостокском политехникуме и до первого выпуска специалистов, подготовленных для отрасли в ДВПИ им. В.В. Куйбышева. Автор приходит к выводу, что выпускники ДВПИ сыграли огромную роль в развитии электроэнергетического хозяйства на Дальнем Востоке в 1920-е 1940-е гг.
