Abstract

Introduction of new insulin preparations in clinical practice requires its' comparison to drugs already in use. The aim of current work was to compare glucose-lowering effect after single injection of Rinsulin R and NPH with Actrapid and Protafan respectively. 18 patient were involved in this study. Glucose levels changes after insulin injection as well as AUC for glucose changes did not differ for Rinsulin R and Actrapid, Rinsulin NPH and Protafan. No clinically significant differences between these drugs were identified.
