А. С. Пушкин о творчестве Томаса Мура

Abstract

The article deals with Pushkin's perception peculiarities of the English romantic poet Thomas Moore's creative work. Negative evaluation of the poem «Lalla Rouck» with its «eastern magnificence» were combined in Pushkin's creative works with appreciation of the English author's great role in the world literature development, keeping in mind Moore's name with the names of famous foreign classics and paying attention to Moore's new creative works. We have taken a great amount of Pushkin's creative works and letters for the analysis, containing evaluation and peculiar features of T.Moore's creative power.

В статье охарактеризованы особенности восприятия А.С.Пушкиным творческой деятельности английского поэта-романтика Томаса Мура. Отрицательные оценки поэмы «Лалла Рук» с ее «восточной роскошью» сочетались у А.С.Пушкина с признанием значительной роли английского автора в развитии мировой литературы, упоминанием имени Мура наряду с именами признанных зарубежных классиков, вниманием к новым произведениям Мура. Для анализа привлекается существенный пласт произведений и писем А.С.Пушкина, содержащих оценки и характеристики творчества Мура.
