Abstract

A total of 11 patients during the period of marked pain syndrome of one of the branches of the trigeminal nerve. The average age of patients was 43 ± 2,8 years. The duration of the disease in 6 cases was 8 years old, in 4 cases 3 years in a single case 6 months. The study showed that the trigeminal nerve neuropathy is an increase in the titer of antibodies to myelin basic protein, indicating that the process of demyelinization. The disintegration of myelin leads to disruption of the integrity of the myelin sheath and thus to "expose the" trigeminal nerve. This process is severely abnormal, leading to the so-called "short circuit" in the structure of exteroceptive sensitivity, thus generating intense pain. Glucocorticoid therapy is carried out gave a pronounced positive impact resistant.
