Abstract

The paper is based on both published and unpublished sources and writings. The paper is concerned with the Old Believers’ participation in World War I, their home front activities, the role of belief and rituals in forming relationships both while doing military service and in civil society.

В статье, основанной на неопубликованных и опубликованных источниках и литературе, рассказывается об участии старообрядцев в Первой мировой войне, их помощи тылу, о влиянии веры и обряда на взаимоотношения в армии и в условиях гражданского общества.
