Abstract

Nowadays preeclampsia is one of the major causes of maternal mortality. Vitamin D is a powerful endocrine suppressor of rennin biosynthesis, prevents hypertension through suppression renninangiotenzine system and cell proliferation and vascular smooth muscle, reducing blood insulin levels, improves endothelial dependent vasodilation and prevents anticoagulant activity. The content of vitamin D has been studied, vitamin D of binding protein and endothelin in the peripheral blood of pregnant women admitted to obstetric department with a diagnosis of "preeclampsia." The following has been analyzed: the course of pregnancy, labors, postpartum and neonatal status in patients with preeclampsia. In the patients with preeclampsia it has been revealed vitamin D deficiency, increased vitamin D of binding protein and an increased content of endothelin in the blood serum. The results proves the necessity of studying of the vitamin D deficiency’ s role in the formation of obstetric complications and the development of preventive measures.
