Abstract

We studied condition of Langerhans cells and collagen water proteoglycan interface by electron and atomic-force microscopy in patients with pemphigus acantholytic. The status of Langerhans cells indicates their active role in the disease morphogenesis. We revealed increased thickness and hyper hydration of proteoglycan layer, large dispersed molecular aggregates formation. The phenomena of lamination and channel formation are described.
