Abstract

Currently, the main problem of assessing and managing the efficiency of functioning of commercial banks in the banking market is fragmented methodological approaches to the definition of sustainable development finance and credit institutions, blurring the conceptual apparatus used in its analysis. According to the studied definitions of the categories of «stability», «reliability» and «financial stability» the author defined and articulated strategic priorities and motivation of the bank's shareholders, its customers, bank management, as well as the social mission of public finance and credit institutions. During the study, the author identified and classified the factors that positively and negatively affect the financial stability of banks in terms of macro-, mesoand microeconomic impact on trends in global and national financial and credit relations. As a result of multi-directional effect of the factors, the priorities of the financial strategy of the bank are formed.
