Abstract

This article is devoted to the initial study in the XIXth century Russia of the Enlightenment, and, in particular, the legacy of V. I. Guerrier, who was the founder of the study of this epoch. The article presents the evolution of V. I. Guerrier’s understanding of the Enlightenment in the whole, the main characteristics of the French Enlightenment and its role in the subsequent history of France.

Рассматривается период начального изучения в России XIX в. эпохи Просвещения, в частности, наследие основоположника исследования этой эпохи – В. И. Герье. Представлена эволюция понимания В. И. Герье основных характеристик французского Просвещения и его роли в последующей истории Франции.
