In article the formation order, the main powers and responsibility of control authorities in societies of a mutual insurance by the legislation of the Russian Federation is investigated. As a result of research conclusions that as the main function which is carried out by control authority (audit commission, the auditor) concerning societies of a mutual insurance, control of financial and economic activity of society is are drawn. The author considers that duties and responsibility of members of audit commission in societies of a mutual insurance have to be settled in authorized norms and in the Provision on audit commission of society.

В статье исследуются порядок формирования, основные полномочия и ответственность органов контроля в обществах взаимного страхования по законодательству Российской Федерации. Сформулированы выводы о том, что в качестве основной функции, осуществляемой органом контроля (ревизионной комиссией, ревизором) в отношении обществ взаимного страхования, является осуществление контроля за финансово-хозяйственной деятельностью общества. Обосновывается необходимость урегулирования обязанностей и ответственности членов ревизионной комиссии в обществах взаимного страхования в уставных нормах и в Положении о ревизионной комиссии общества.
