Abstract

The factor of development and functioning of the maxillodental system of the person biomechanical pressure has considered. The term "pressure" is perceived as a mechanical stress. The structural and functional constitution of the maxillodental system is described during phyloand ontogenesis. The role of biomechanical pressure in these processes as the major factor providing development and functioning of interdependent units of the maxillodental system in norm and pathology is shown. Such point of view allows us both to set off the circle of the biomechanical problems and to distinguish the approaches to their statements.
