Abstract

The objective of research is to study features of production interleukin-8 at the local level at patients with choroidal melanoma. Materials and methods. Research was conducted at 36 patients with choroidal melanoma aged from 34 till 83 years. Results. Concentration of interleukin-8 both in an eye with choroidal melanoma, and in «healthy» didymous eye authentically exceeds indicators of control group, p < 0,05. At T1-T2 stages of process development the indicators were authentically below, than at T3-T4 stages, p < 0,05. Conclusions. Development of choroidal melanoma is followed by active local production interleukin-8. More active inflammatory reaction is distinctive for the late stages.
