Abstract

The paper presents the characteristics of a continuous production process and its basic organizational principles, considers the development strategy of the petrochemical industry. The paper aims to study the management of transportation of finished products at chemical enterprises in terms of systemic and process approaches. It is noted that the management should be based on an integrated production and transportation system, which, in turn, will take into account the variability of the process of transportation of finished products and will synchronize it with the production schedule. The transportation process has its own organizational peculiarities, and if it is considered as a continuous process managed by production and sales units, it is advisable to link all components of the system with demand. The most important thing in developing business processes is their efficiency which is measured by various indicators; those indicators have target values or criteria for their evaluation. The paper presents the qualitative and quantitative assessment indicators which should be used in developing business processes of the transportation of products with continuous production cycleas well as suggests an algorithm for managing transportation at the enterprise.
