Abstract

The study of the treatment results in patients with strangulated postoperative ventral hernias is the most actual and important fields of modern herniology. The work is based on the analysis of the treatment results in 217 patients with strangulated postoperative ventral hernias. The alloplastic techniques are the surgical methods of managing patients with strangulated postoperative ventral hernias. «Sub lay» type alloplasty is the most effective one among the alloplastic methods. The application of polypropylene endoprosthesis in strangulated postoperative ventral hernias doesn't increase the frequency of purulent complications.
