Abstract

The author analyzes the concept of individual cultural identity in connection with the phenomenon of relativizing contemporary cultural outlook, regarding esoteric teachings as the means to overcome the individual cultural identity crisis. The author comes to the conclusion that the popularity of esoteric teachings is based on their ability to help (re)construct one’s own world view with its specific individual sense and values.
