Abstract

Nomination is a calling, a designation of something with Language means and a word. On the basis of semantic motivation the majority of names of the given lexical and semantic group unite in two groups corresponding to two main principles of a nomination. The first group characterizes names of fishes to external signs (colour of a skin, the size of a body, the body form, etc.) and to internal signs (quality of meat); the second group characterizes names of fishes to dynamic signs (a dwelling place, a biological cycle of plants, features of a food).
