Abstract

The aim of the study was to conduct a comparative analysis of selected stabilometric indicators in the period of rest and under the influence of competitive activity in athletes responsible for various kinds of martial arts. The study was conducted with using the stabilometric platform"Stabilan-1". We used the Student´s t-test for assessing the reliability of the research results. The study revealed that adaptation to competitive stress causes a variety of changes in different types of martial arts. Kick-boxers are characterized by high values of stabilometric indicators in the period of rest, which significantly deteriorated under the impact of competitive activities. Karate are characterized by average values of stabilometric indicators in the period of rest, but a significant increase under the influence of competitive activity.
