УДК 658.153.8:658.7 Рассмотрены роль и значение производственных запасов на металлургических предприятиях, выявлено снижение их роли в активах предприятий в настоящее время. Отражены недостатки используемых на практике современных методов управления производственными запасами, имеющих главной целью ускорение их оборачиваемости и повышение рентабельности активов. Отмечены недостатки существующих теоретических подходов к управлению запасами, обоснована необходимость их совершенствования.

The role and value of production stocks at the metallurgical enterprises are considered, decrease in their role in assets of the enterprises is revealed now. Shortcomings of modern methods of management used in practice by the production stocks, having a main goal acceleration of their speed of a turn and increase of profitability of assets are reflected. Shortcomings of existing theoretical approaches to stockpile management are noted, need of their improvement is proved.
