The question of changing of the ethnic and confessional aspects of modern Muscovites. The ethno-religious situation in the metropolis, the factors, demographic and non-demographic, that affect and influence the ethno-cultural dinamics in Moscow"s social life, are investigated in this paper. The author allocates as аctual tendencies of ethnocultural transformations of Moscow, and gives an general picture of its future shape and the risks connected with its formation.

В работе исследуется этноконфессиональная ситуация в мегаполисе, рассматриваются факторы, демографические и недемографические, которые влияли и влияют на этнокультурные изменения в московском социуме. В процессе анализа этих факторов выявлены те из них, которые оказывают наибольшее влияние в наши дни и те, которые будут определяющими в будущем.
