Abstract

The article describes economic features of the historical and cultural sphere as an independent branch of reproducing spiritual benefits. One of the features is that the economy cannot develop as a traditional one because it includes not only the material component but also the spiritual one. The conclusion is that the use of market relations and the market’s opportunities may result in civilized forms of development of social and cultural spheres.
