Abstract

The article gives an overview of the materials connected with the activities of the Academician Yevgeny Pavlovsky (1884–1965), which have been obtained over recent years by the Military Medical Museum. The acquired photographs and documents shed light on the scientific activities of the academician during his expeditions to Central Asia. The materials span a long period of time: from Pavlovsky’s first journeys to Turkestan in 1908–1915 to the large-scale expeditions of the late 1920–30s. It was the time when the scientist laid a cornerstone of his doctrine of the natural focality of transmissible diseases, landscape epidemiology and medical geography.
