The possibilities of the use of cystatin C for the diagnosis of chronic kidney disease in patients with mild, moderate and severe degrees of renal insufficiency. It is concluded that there is no correlation between the level of cystatin C and creatinine in the blood serum of these categories of patients. Blood levels of cystatin C as a marker for evaluation of renal function in patients with chronic kidney disease is more informative for mild to moderate degrees of renal insufficiency and creatinine during severe.
